A
natural magnet for guests with its head-tilting seven-metre
ceiling and central location near the pool is the Amansara's
Dining Room. Aside from sumptuous Asian and Western cuisine,
the restaurant also features a walk-in wine cellar, reading
materials and an overall informal ambiance perfect for lounging
around any time of the day.
At
one end of the resorts central courtyard is a 17.5 metre swimming
pool around which most of the suites are situated. Another recreational
facility worth a visit is a well-stocked library complete with
an array of travel guides, periodicals, board games, Internet
access and even reference materials on local culture. Guests
can also marvel at local products and handicraftts displayed
at the gallery.
For
a more complete understanding of Angkor culture and history,
the resort organises informal lecture sessions with notable
scholars, further providing guests an opportunity to immerse.
While
the resort offers an almost limitless amount of things to do,
it also provides irresistable ways to unwind: a variety of traditional
massage treatments using a combination of natural oils, acupressure,
scrubs and even oil-free massage depending on preference.

Suites:
Amansara has 12 suites, similar in design, featuring an open
plan setting with finishes in terrazzo and timber. Colours are
muted and earthy. Entry is to a combined sleeping and living
area that contains a large writing desk and a king-size bed.
Adjacent is a dressing
area with hanging cupboards and drawers. The lounge has a large
sofa, and informal circular dining table and chairs. Beyond,
and leading down a few steps, is the bathroom which opens onto
a light-filled courtyard featuring a water garden and cushioned
banquette. The bathroom contains twin vanities, makeup mirror,
a large soaking tub and a separate shower and toilet. A floor-to-ceiling
glass partition separates the toilet from the courtyard, letting
in light and patio views. Each suite is air-conditioned, with
ceiling fans, telephone (twin lines for Internet access), room
safe and a CD music system.
Amansara
Suite: The resort’s premier accommodation follows
a similar interior layout as the suites but with a generous
courtyard.
